Lecture Poster

When tasked to make a poster for a college lecture, the choice of images usually range from bad head shots to completely unusable candids. I was lucky here in that there were several workable images, but I like the image to look like it was shot for for use as a poster.

The shot on the couch with apple green sweater flanked by matching pillows and lamps, with portrait and marble wall? So close to being interesting. Not close enough. The next image had his shoulder not been cut off, my Photoshop skills could have salvaged that shot, but in the end the third image had such wonderful colors and a half black background it was screaming “I’m the one!”.

I had to rebuild the whole top of the image in Photoshop, mangling someones artwork, but it was worth it to give the effect that this sitting was custom made for my piece.
